Custom Shows

Creating Custom Shows

  1. Save the Presentation
  2. On the Slide Show menu, click Custom Shows, and then clickNew.
  3. Under Slides in presentation, select the slides you want to include in the custom show, and then click Add.
  4. To select multiple slides, hold down CTRL as you click the slides.
  5. To change the order in which slides appear, select a slide underSlides in custom show, and then click one of the arrows to move the slide up or down in the list.
  6. Type a name in the Slide show name box, and then click OK.
  7. Repeat steps 1 through 5 to create more custom shows with any slides in your presentation.

Creating Summary Slide (Navigating your Custom Shows)

  1. Switch to Slide Sorter View
  2. Hold down the Control Button and click the first slide in each of the 3 Custom Shows we created
  3. With those 3 slides selected press the Summary Slide Button. You’ll notice that a new slide was inserted before the beginning slide of the first custom show.
  4. Switch to normal view
  5. Select the newly created slide
  6. In the Slide Transition Menu Uncheck Advance slide Automatically
  7. To add functionality to each of the items on the summary slide, highlight the text and then right-click on the selection
  8. Select Action Settings from the contextual menu
  9. Select Hyperlink to > Custom Shows
  10. Select the show you wish to link to and check the “show and return” option at the bottom of the dialogue box
  11. Repeat these step for the remainder of the links on the summary slide.
  12. Save and Preview.
